Casio America, Inc. has partnered with Pendleton, a global lifestyle brand, to create a new PRO TREK timepiece that showcases their shared commitment to sustainability and high-quality products. The PRG601PE-5 is made from eco-friendly bio-based resins for the case and case back, as well as a band made from recycled PET cloth materials derived from plastic bottles. It features a uniquely patterned band that combines four of Pendleton’s iconic textile patterns, representing land, water, mountains, and sky. The watch dial has a watermarked pattern and a mountain-shaped sub-dial hand, paying homage to PRO TREK and Pendleton’s love of the outdoors. The PRG601PE-5 also comes with specially designed packaging, including a Pendleton Eco-Wise Wool® pouch and a hinged paper box that matches the pattern on the watch band. This collaboration celebrates both brands’ passion for the outdoors and their commitment to sustainability.
“Sustainability is one of Pendleton’s core values, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Casio on the PRG601PE-5,” said Peter Bishop, EVP of Design and Merchandising at Pendleton. “The new PRO TREK timepiece features a band with a new twist on four well-known Pendleton patterns.”
The PRG601PE-5 watch from Casio is perfect for outdoor use as it has Triple Sensor technology (digital compass, barometer/altimeter, thermometer) and Tough Solar, which converts light from various sources to power the watch. This means that the battery does not need to be replaced frequently, reducing environmental impact. The design features wide bar indexes and a multi-color secondhand for easy readability. The band has slits above and below the dial to help with compass bearing. Other features include water resistance up to 100 meters, five daily alarms, World Time (29-City + UTC), and more. You can preorder the PRO TREK PRG601PE-5 now for $400 at Casio.com.
