Impressive Power – Lexus LS 500
The LS 500 flagship sedan comes with a 3.4-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers an impressive output of 416 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque. To reduce emissions and ensure quiet operation, the engine features a lip shape on the piston top. The wastegate control on the twin-turbo engine ensures a stable opening and closing of the valve, which enhances performance efficiency. The 10-speed automatic transmission helps keep the engine in a responsive area of its power band.
Additionally, the LS 500 boasts a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds, and the driver can choose from various modes such as Eco, Comfort, Normal, Custom, Sport S, or Sport S+ to tailor powertrain response and feel. The available AWD system features a Torsen® limited-slip center differential that further enhances grip, traction, and cornering stability. The car’s powerful stance is accentuated by 19-inch alloy noise-reduction wheels with a black and machined finish.
LS 500h AWD
The LS 500h high-performance vehicle will continue to be produced in 2024 with a twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 416 horsepower. It is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels that have a Vapor Chrome finish and are designed to reduce noise. The Lexus Teammate system, which was developed based on the Mobility Teammate Concept, operates on the principle that people and vehicles can work together to achieve safe, convenient, and efficient mobility. On the LS 500h AWD, Lexus Teammate provides two functions: Advanced Drive and Advanced Park.
Looking the Part
The front fascia of the LS is stylishly designed, giving the car a sturdy and powerful stance. The lower radiator air intakes are squared, adding to its confident appearance. The dark metallic spindle grill provides an elegant look to the vehicle. The LS is equipped with 3-projector LED headlamps, which are arranged vertically. The squarish sub-radiator grilles and deep headlamps contribute to the overall confident nature of the car’s stance.
For the 2024 model, the LS will be available in 10 exterior colors, depending on the grade. These colors include Ultra White, Eminent White Pearl, Atomic Silver, Manganese Luster, Iridium, Obsidian, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, and Nightfall Mica. Moreover, Silver Illusion3 has been added as an exterior color option for the 2024 version.
Next-Level Interior
For 2024, Lexus LS customers can expect to see the brand’s signature attention to detail continue. The Luxury and Executive Packages offer the option of Haku interior ornamentation. Haku foil is a Japanese technique that has been passed down for over 400 years. It is made by carefully flattening a piece of metal until it becomes as thin as one ten-thousandth of a millimeter. The Haku foil is incredibly delicate and must be applied by hand with great care, producing a subtle shine that brings to mind moonlight reflecting over the ocean waves. Additionally, for 2024, the Luxury and Executive Packages include a wood and leather-trimmed heated steering wheel.
On Executive models, the Kiriko Glass ornamentation and hand-folded pleats on the door trim exemplify the brand’s handcrafted approach. The gorgeous cut glass ornamentation takes inspiration from Japanese Kiriko glassware. Artisans create traditional Kiriko patterns by hand-cutting clear colors and delicate lines in a piece of glass, which are then repeatedly polished to a soft glow.
The Lexus LS pays close attention to the comfort of the rear seats. In addition to the Executive Package, which adds a passenger-side seat that can be reclined up to 48 degrees when the vehicle is parked, there are options for heating and massage. This angle has been chosen for its precise level of comfort.
F SPORT Brings Style and Dynamic Handling
The F SPORT version of the LS has a garnish that wraps around the sub-radiator grilles to highlight the car’s wide stance. The F SPORT package is designed to showcase a more dynamic image and includes a dedicated color for the spindle grille, and 20-inch spoke alloy wheels with a Gloss Black Metallic finish. When developing the F SPORT package, Lexus made the most of the GA-L platform’s inherent driving agility. In 2024, the package will come standard with a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel and a Panoramic View Monitor.
Lexus has incorporated the F SPORT persona throughout the cabin, beginning with the perforated-grill pattern on the seating surfaces and Naguri aluminum trim elements. The F SPORT 28-way electric/pneumatic seats with passenger-seat power cushion-length extenders provide exceptional comfort no matter the length of the drive, and brace occupants when driving through curves.
